One Day Workshop on Sophisticated Instrument Handelling Technique

Siddhi's Institute of Pharmacy, Nandgaon, in collaboration with Glow Pharma Training Institute, Thane, organized a One-Day Workshop on Sophisticated Instrument Handling Technique on 24th March 2025 at Kelkar College, Mulund. The program commenced at 9:30 a.m. with a warm welcome address delivered by our respected Principal, Dr. R. T. Kakade. The technical session was led by Mr. Deepak Chatur, an expert resource person from Glow Pharma Training Institute. He initiated the seminar by providing an overview of advanced analytical instruments and also introduced the role and contributions of Glow Pharma Training Institute in imparting practical training to budding pharmacy professionals.Mr. Chatur delivered an in-depth lecture on the principles, construction, working mechanisms, applications, and handling techniques of sophisticated analytical instruments, including:

  • UV-Visible Spectrophotometer (UV)
  • Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) Spectroscopy
  • Mass Spectrometry (MS)
  • High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC)
  • Gas Chromatography (GC)

The session provided comprehensive insights into modern analytical instrumentation, highlighting their importance in pharmaceutical quality control, drug development, and research applications. Emphasis was also given to practical aspects of instrument handling, safety measures, calibration, and troubleshooting.The workshop concluded with the distribution of participation certificates to all attending students, marking the successful completion of the event. The day’s proceedings ended with a formal Vote of Thanks delivered by Prof. Mrs. Tejaswini Asawe, who acknowledged the efforts of the organizers, resource persons, and enthusiastic participation of the students. This workshop proved to be highly beneficial in bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical exposure, thereby enhancing the competency of pharmacy students in analytical techniques essential for industrial and research careers.

PRAVEGA 2K25 – Annual Social Gathering

Siddhi’s Institute of Pharmacy, Nandgaon, successfully organized its Annual Social Gathering – PRAVEGA 2K25 on 31st January 2025 at 11:00 am in the seminar hall. The program commenced with anchoring by Mrs. Tejaswini Asawe and Mr. Prashant Paudwal, followed by a welcome address delivered by our respected Principal, Dr. R. T. Kakade. The traditional lamp-lighting ceremony was performed by the esteemed guest speaker Mr. Anil Choudhari, along with Mr. Anil Vispute, Mr. Lonere, Mr. Dinkar Chakor, Hon. Chairman Deshmukh Sir, and Principal Dr. Kakade R. T., marking the auspicious beginning of the event. The inaugural session was graced with encouraging words from the chief guest, who emphasized the importance of cultural events in nurturing students’ talents and holistic development.

The cultural competitions began with the Mehandi Competition at 9:30 am, coordinated by Mrs. Tejaswini Asawe and Ms. Pratiksha Sonawane, assisted by student coordinators Bhawana Gadage and Shweta Kannaujia. Simultaneously, the Rangoli Competition was organized by Ms. Madhuri Supekar and Ms. Rupali Karale, with student coordinators Kalpana Thakare and Bhawana Gorad. Both competitions received enthusiastic participation, with 12 entries in Mehandi and 10 entries in Rangoli, and winners were selected based on creativity, theme, and presentation.

The creative spirit continued with Face Painting and Nail Art Competitions at 11:30 am, coordinated by Mr. Prashant Bhoir and Mr. Harshal Vishe, with support from student coordinators Adarsh Mane and Hanumant Gutte. These events showcased artistic talent through 8 entries in Face Painting and 6 entries in Nail Art, each evaluated for originality and design.

Post-lunch, the celebration embraced vibrant theme-based activities such as Halloween Day, Retro Day, Twins Day, and Mismatch Day, coordinated by Ms. Pallavi Sonawane, Ms. Nayana Gadhave, Ms. Madhuri Supekar, Ms. Madhuri Vishe, and Ms. Rupali Karale, along with student coordinators Aniket Singh, Vivek Vaghere, Pranit Nimase, Archana Rohane, and Prachi Desale. These events brought lively participation with 6 entries for Twins Day, 4 entries for Mismatch Day, and 8 entries for Halloween Day, all judged on creativity, costume, and presentation, with winners duly recognized.

PRAVEGA 2K25 was a grand success, providing students with a platform to display their creativity, talent, and cultural enthusiasm. The event not only celebrated artistic and cultural diversity but also strengthened teamwork, leadership, and the festive spirit within the institute.

Hospital Visit

The Department of Pharmacy, Siddhi’s Institute of Pharmacy, Nandgaon, organized an Hospital visit to the Rural Hospital, Murbad, on 21st March 2025 for Diploma in Pharmacy students. A total of 60 students, accompanied by two faculty members, participated in the visit, which commenced at 10:00 am.On arrival, the students were formally received by the hospital staff and subsequently divided into groups for systematic exposure to various healthcare facilities. The visit encompassed intensive care units (ICU and ICCU), In-Patient Pharmacy, pathology laboratory, CATH lab, operation theaters, emergency care units, and ancillary facilities such as the canteen. Detailed demonstrations and explanations were provided by Mr. Gopal Bobhate and Dr. Sangram Dange, who elaborated on clinical workflows, departmental protocols, and the functioning of diagnostic equipment, including CT scan and X-ray systems. Students observed the patient ward setup, nursing practices for patient data recording, and the role of pharmacists in the hospital healthcare system. The visit facilitated an applied understanding of hospital management, interdisciplinary healthcare responsibilities, and the critical contribution of pharmacists in patient care. Overall, the session was scientifically enriching, offering both practical knowledge and experiential learning in the domain of hospital pharmacy practice.

Vachan Sankalp Maharashtra 2025

Siddhi’s Institute of Pharmacy, Nandgaon, celebrated “Vachan Sankalp Maharashtra 2025” on 10th January 2025 in alignment with the Government of Maharashtra’s initiative “वाचन संकल्प महाराष्ट्राचा” with the objective of promoting structured reading habits and fostering intellectual development among students. The program featured a Reading Skills Workshop that emphasized advanced reading methodologies including speed reading, critical analysis, and systematic book selection strategies, while also encouraging participation in Book Review and Storytelling Competitions. The initiative highlighted the cognitive benefits of reading such as enhanced comprehension, memory, analytical ability, and creativity, thereby underlining its role in academic growth and cultural enrichment. By aligning with the government’s vision of reviving the reading culture among youth, the institute successfully demonstrated the transformative impact of reading in shaping a vibrant, knowledge-driven, and intellectually empowered academic community, inspiring both students and staff to adopt reading as a daily practice.

Republic Day 2025

Siddhi’s Institute of Pharmacy, Nandgaon, celebrated the 76th Republic Day with great patriotic spirit and enthusiasm on 26th January 2025 at 7:30 am on the college ground. This year’s celebration held special importance as it also marked 75 years since the adoption of the Indian Constitution, making the occasion even more meaningful for students and staff.The programme commenced with warm greetings by Mr. Prashant Paudwal, who formally initiated the day’s proceedings. Following this, the welcome speech was delivered by the beloved Principal, Dr. R. T. Kakade, who highlighted the significance of Republic Day and encouraged students to uphold constitutional values such as equality, justice, and national integrity.The ceremonial lighting of the lamp and flag hoisting were performed by the esteemed dignitaries:

  • Mr. Darpan Kante, Guest Speaker and representative from the Indian Army
  • Hon. Chairman Santoshji Deshmukh Sir
  • Principal Dr. Kakade Sir

As the national flag unfurled, the atmosphere echoed with patriotic fervor as everyone joined in singing the National Anthem.The Guest Speaker, Mr. Darpan Kante, delivered an inspiring address. He shared valuable insights about the Indian Army, the importance of discipline, dedication, and service to the nation. He also informed students about various competitive examinations and career opportunities within the defense sector, motivating them to contribute to the country through different fields. Additionally, he emphasized the roles and responsibilities of every citizen in nation-building and urged students to remain committed to national development.The programme concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks delivered by Prof. Ms. Pratiksha Sonawane, who expressed gratitude to all dignitaries, staff members, and students for making the event a grand success.Overall, the 76th Republic Day celebration at Siddhi’s Institute of Pharmacy was a memorable event that instilled a deep sense of patriotism, responsibility, and pride among all present.

Induction Programme 2024–25

The Induction Programme for the academic batch 2024–25 was organized at Siddhi’s Institute of Pharmacy, Nandgaon on 13th November 2024 in the seminar hall. The objective of the programme was to familiarize newly admitted students with the academic structure, institutional facilities, and diverse career opportunities in the field of pharmacy, thereby ensuring a smooth transition into the professional course. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from both students and faculty members.The programme commenced with an introductory speech by Ms. P. D. Sonawane, who welcomed the students and highlighted the importance of orientation sessions in bridging the gap between school and professional education. This was followed by an inspiring address by the Principal, Dr. R.T.Kakade, who elaborated on the infrastructure, student facilities, staff profile, and organizational framework of the institute. His address emphasized the institute’s commitment to academic excellence, student welfare, and holistic development.Further, Ms. R.V.Karale delivered a detailed presentation on academic regulations, providing students with insights into the curriculum, teaching methodologies, and assessment patterns. She also shared information on various cultural events and extracurricular activities celebrated at the institute, encouraging students to actively engage in them for overall personality development. Additionally, she explained the examination scheme for the first-year students in accordance with the current educational regulations.In the subsequent session, Ms. M. V. Supekar addressed the gathering on career opportunities in the field of pharmacy, shedding light on emerging roles in clinical research, regulatory affairs, industrial pharmacy, and community health. Her session broadened the students’ perspective about the profession and motivated them to set long-term career goals.The programme concluded with a formal vote of thanks by Mr. A. A. Alumni Meet 2024

Siddhi’s Institute of Pharmacy successfully organized an Alumni Meet in October 2024 for the Diploma in Pharmacy students. The program was planned with the objective of reconnecting with alumni, celebrating their achievements, and creating an interactive platform for current students to learn from the experiences of their seniors.The event began in the morning with a warm welcome extended to the alumni by the organizing committee. A special campus tour was arranged, giving alumni the opportunity to revisit their old classrooms and witness the developments that had taken place at the institute over the years. This nostalgic activity helped them relive their student days while appreciating the progress of the institution.The formal inauguration of the event was marked by the traditional lighting of the lamp, followed by a welcome address from the Principal, Dr. R. T. Kakade. In his speech, Dr. Kakade expressed gratitude to the alumni for attending the event despite their professional commitments and highlighted the importance of alumni in shaping the institute’s legacy.The afternoon session featured two distinguished alumni who delivered interactive talks, sharing their knowledge and professional journeys to inspire the students

First Speaker (Entrepreneurship Guidance):

The first alumnus focused on the practical aspects of opening and managing a medical shop. He emphasized key factors such as selecting an appropriate location, understanding customer needs, and managing finances effectively. Detailed guidance was provided on essential documentation and legal requirements, including Drug License acquisition, GST registration, and compliance with regulatory standards. He also discussed the ethical responsibilities and legal obligations of running a medical shop, highlighting the role of the Pharmacy Council of India. His session offered students a roadmap to entrepreneurship in the pharmaceutical sector, making them aware of both opportunities and challenges.

Second Speaker (Higher Education and Career Growth):

The second alumnus stressed the importance of pursuing higher education after completing a Diploma in Pharmacy. He explained how advancing to a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree opens avenues to higher-paying and specialized roles. He also outlined diverse career paths available in the pharmaceutical industry, including manufacturing, research, quality control, regulatory affairs, marketing, and academia. By sharing personal experiences, he motivated students to remain competitive through continuous learning and professional development. This session broadened students’ perspectives beyond traditional roles and encouraged them to explore varied opportunities within the healthcare and pharmaceutical sectors.

Siddhi’s Institute of Pharmacy, Nandgaon, organized a one-day seminar on Clinical Trials in collaboration with Clinomic Center for Clinical Research Pvt. Ltd., Thane on 18th February 2025 at 11:00 am in the seminar hall. The seminar aimed to provide students with insights into the growing field of clinical research and to create awareness about career opportunities in this domain.The program commenced with an introductory address by Mrs. Tejaswini Asawe, Assistant Professor, who welcomed the dignitaries, faculty, and students. The formal inauguration was marked by the lighting of the lamp by the distinguished guest speakers, Ms. Poonam Bhekane (Team Manager, Clinomic Center for Clinical Research Pvt. Ltd.) and Mr. Rahul Mundhe, symbolizing knowledge and enlightenment.Following this, the welcome speech was delivered by the Principal, Dr. R. T. Kakade, who emphasized the importance of clinical research in advancing modern medicine and highlighted the role of pharmacists in this interdisciplinary field.The technical session began with a presentation by Ms. Poonam Bhekane, who introduced the concept of clinical trials and elaborated on their significance in the drug development process.
